I think this is one of those things that is actually good, but not widespread so it seems unfair. So as things are now, it is poor form, but in reality everyone should do it to emphasize their disagreement. That is the function of the up and down vote buttons in comments, after all. Real poor form is to up vote your own comments. Ant should remove the vote buttons on your comments, but keep the ones on your posts.
