+285 It's not racist to think of a fictional character as being a certain ethnicity. A person's cultural background influences how they talk, dress, and behave, and unless the story says otherwise there's nothing wrong with assuming they have a certain skin tone. amirite?

I just reread a book I loved when I was younger and I went through the entire series with this picture in my head of the main character... then I realized at the beginning it stated multiple times that he was black. I always pictured him cacasian...
