People who say bikinis are like underwear, don't understand that everything has a time and a place. A guy could be shirtless at the beach and no one would care, but if he was shirtless on the street he would just be a douchebag. amirite?

Exactly. It's like shoes and ice skates.

@Wunderscore Exactly. It's like shoes and ice skates.

...except shoes and ice skates can't serve each other's purpose. a bra and a swimsuit can.

You can walk on ice in shoes and you can walk on ground in iceskates. You'll just look like an asshole, much like if you use a bra and a swimsuit for eachother.

It's not the same as skating with ice skates o, but you can skate in shoes.

Honestly, to me they're the same exact thing but DO serve different purposes. What's the difference in seeing a woman in a bra and panties and seeing one in a bikini? Not much. Of course they're for different times but what they reveal and look like are the same thing. Js.

True, but if I put on a bikini, went to the bathroom, and took a picture for facebook, no one would really care. But if I did that in my bra and panties, it'd be child pornography.

Wearing underwear in the water would be so inconvenient though considering that that fabric would become super heavy...

@favvkes I think they meant that cotton or whatever would soak up the water and become heavier than bathing suit material

i know thats what they meant, but it would still have to have a lot of surface area to get annoyingly heavy when soaked in water

no, the only way a bra could ever be super heavy is if you have a size DD or something O.o

My guy friends always say how hot they get when they're skating on the streets, and they just want to take their shirts off but people will call them douchebags. So I don't think it's douchebaggy for a guy to take his shirt off if it's really hot outside.
