+19Politicians, like diapers, have to be changed frequently...... and for the same reason. Amirite?
AMEN. The biebs has definitely grown up, he's not the little kid singing baby anymore. He's a very attractive young man with a nice voice and people need to realize that. I honestly thought that his song boyfriend was Justin Timberlake first listen.
I agree, but you have no idea if Justin Bieber is a 'nice enough guy'. That is most likely just his public face.
He's just some kid (well, guy now) that sings about mediocre things. People take him way too seriously, especially with these death threats and such.
Except when he said women who get raped shouldn't be allowed to have abortions because "Everything happens for a reason".
you can pretty much tell that he was put on the spot and didn't have much of an opinion or stance on the topic. Calm down, he didn't state anything that radical or rather didn't intend to.
I searched his real quote...and it didn't make me feel any better. I don't hate him but I thought he was smarter than that.
"I'm not sure about the [political] parties," Bieber says. "But whatever they have in Korea, that's bad." He does have a solid opinion on abortion. "I really don't believe in abortion," Bieber says. "It's like killing a baby." How about in cases of rape? "Um. Well, I think that's really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I don't know how that would be a reason. I guess I haven't been in that position, so I wouldn't be able to judge that."
that was only part of a quote, the newspaper apologized for misquoting him
Like some people have already said, why would you ask him his opinion on abortion anyway?
It's just how he sounded so sure of himself saying it, like he has it figured out. Oh, the reason is "It's like killing babies" so it's wrong. Then you realize he doesn't know anything about abortion and really should have just told the reporter he doesn't have a solid opinion.
I feel he was put on the spot about politics, seeing how he doesn't know anything about it and it isn't related to his career. "Whatever they have in Korea, that's bad". He tried.
I always say that everybody's entitled to their opinion, and that includes their opinion on abortion. I don't think his view on abortion should affect anyone's opinion of him as a person.
"I really don't believe in abortion," Bieber says. "It's like killing a baby."
That seems like a definitive stance to me.
That's a good point.
but it's not fair to judge him on something he doesn't know or have a good stance or opinion on. so your judgment on him would be inaccurate and flawed.
He just didn't have anything to back it up. I could say I opposed the revolutionary war because "people die", and when asked to follow up, if I proceeded to say "well I dunno", then clearly my opinion's not going to be taken very seriously. If Justin actually appeared somewhat informed on the topic, I'd respect him without agreeing.
"I don't think his view on abortion should affect anyone's opinion of him as a person." But opinions make a person who they are. That's exactly the kind of thing that we should judge people on.
I'm not trying to start an argument or anything, but why don't you think he's a nice guy?
Well, one time he was on a radio show, and the host made a joke that I guess came off as offensive to Justin, so he insulted the host's mom. Then the host tells Justin his mom is dead. Justin hangs up.
He seems like the fame got to his head.
He's hardly a nice enough guy. He was being interviewed and made fun of the guy's dead mother
That's exactly why your mother jokes are completely childish. It's almost sickening that you're defending him. And yeah, there's no way he could've known but if he had any decency he would not only have said it in the first place, but he could have at least apologized.
I'll agree that they are childish, but how many childish people do you know that do that? Plenty. Are you assuming that any person that ever makes those jokes has no decency? That doesn't mean they're bad people. It was incredibly awkward and shocking too. He should've apologized, I agree, but still. That's a bit harsh. Everyone makes mistakes.
Yeah I definitely don't think he intentionally made fun of his dead mother and it was just a mistake, but he could have apologized. It's also bad that Justin Bieber is supposed to be a role model, so it's a little bit worse for him to say things like this.
It made it worse that as soon as the host mentioned his mom was dead, Justin hung up.
Any person who was being lighthearted would've apologized immediately. Justin though, seems like he really just didn't give a fuck.
I hadn't heard about that. That really sucks, and he's definitely lost a lot of respect.
How in the hell was he supposed to know that the guy's mother was dead? He didn't know him. The guy tried to pick a little fight over the phone (of a kinda sexual nature) and JB mentioned the guy's mom, something that a lot of people do either with their friends or with enemies. It's common and it was a mistake.
To me, Justin Bieber represents all his screaming fans, who should die.
Ah, but it's perfectly okay to say that millions of people should die?
Makes perfect sense.
You should never say someone should die just cause they like someone what if someone came to Justin's next concert that just happens to be the next day you say something like that and they just start shooting people would you be able to live with yourself after that?
I didn't mean they should die for liking Justin Bieber.
And yes, I would be able to live with myself.
Well then clearly you're a step below human.
What a horrible thing to say to someone.
Please tell me everything about my life and how you know everything about me.
How about you quit being so judgemental.
Saying anybody should die is terrible, especially if they're completely innocent. I've seen what happens when people say shit like that. It's not okay, no exceptions.
I wasn't saying it to their face.
First of all, technically neither was I.
Second, it's still a terrible thing to say about anyone. Much worse than saying that they're "a step below human." At the rate our race is going right now, I'm not even sure how insulting that is.
