There's a difference between a person not being able to sing and someone else not liking their voice. It's annoying when people criticize a singer for not being able to sing when they can, but that person just isn't a fan, amirite?
I feel you. It confuses me so much when people say Beyonce can't sing. I mean really, you may not be a fan, but not being a fan of her music is not the same as denying her vocal talent
I didn't really mean cases of autotune. I mean more like, there's this clip on YouTube of Rihanna singing. No autotune, nothing. She's a good singer but people who don't like her music insist that she can't sing to save her life because they don't personally like her.
With me, I don't like Black Veil Brides because I really don't like their singer's voice. Just because I don't like it, that doesn't mean he isn't a good singer; they wouldn't have so many fans if he was terrible. He just has a deep voice and I'm not a big fan of that.
Okay I just listen to King for a day by Pierce the veil (chose them because it reminds me of Black veil Brides) and I have to say it was a great song. Any others you recommend?
King For a Day actually features the lead singer of Sleeping With Sirens.
I also like A Skylit Drive, Falling in Reverse, Escape the Fate (though I haven't listened to their newer stuff), and then there was some deathcore band that recently released a new song with clean vocals that I liked but I only listened to it once and forgot the name. OTL
Yeah escape the fate was better back when they had Ronnie. Also, that might have been Bring me the Horizon. Okay it probably wasn't, but they're good anyways.
Yeah, right. But some people really can't sing well and still have fans because of a little thing called auto tune. And before you say I know nothing about how it works or whatever you're thinking, I've used it before personally. I sound like completely crap without it and it actually makes me sound decent. So, yeah.
Liking someone's voice is an opinion. Maybe we have different opinions, but I think if someone is able to sing well, it isn't a matter of opinion. They are capable of singing.

I suppose I should've said that there's a difference between people not being able to sing well since that's what I meant.
Like I said, he can sing. I just don't like his voice.

O ho ho
I'm just not really a fan of "deeper" voice, I suppose. My two favorite bands both have countertenor vocalists since I personally prefer that.
It was Lillith by Chelsea Grin.
Somebody had sent me a message about it.
That was my next guess. Bring me the horizon and Chelsea Grin are pretty close, I think. BMTH wrote a (badass) song called Chelsea Smile

Andy Biersack is much better than Rihanna. Excluding his powerful and beautiful voice, he doesn't hire people to write his songs for him.
Fair enough. Can I ask which bands?
You might as well say you don't like colours. I'm a straight man but I'm still turned on by his majestic voice
I've never heard anyone say she can't sing, but Nellie from the glee project has an incredible voice
She really does. I loved her LCP duet for Adaptability week.
I'm sure Justin Bieber feels the EXACT same way.
I'm sure a lot of singer do.
Though Justin Bieber was the inspiration for this, actually.
I understand this post. I absolutely loathe Serj Tankian's voice but not because he's a bad singer; it's just that hearing it greatly irritates me.
