I hate when people say stuff like "I could make straight A's, but I'm too busy having a life!"
First of all, you're an idiot.
Secondly, it's possible to have both if you work hard enough.
Thridly, if I had to choose, I'd rather have straight A's than a "life" and I don't understand why anyone else wouldn't.
True. Not trying to brag, but I get good grades and I think I actually have a life. The thing is you study and work hard during all of the week and then have a life and rest on Friday and Saturday (Sunday's my studying day or going out with the family day). And then you can live your life to the fullest in the holidays and summer.
By no means do I actually have a life, but it is possible.
Triangle of life says this is true. But now you don't sleep.
I have none of the three. I'm employed.

That will be a curse in college.
I envy you.

I never have time to study or do homework because I'm at work all the time, but I still have a 4.3 GPA.
Yeah, my weighted GPA is 4.3. Unweighted is simply a 4.0
No? I'm pretty sure it's always the same. 4.0 is the highest without weighted classes
out of what? a 5 or 6? Different schools use different scales.
oh yeah, for unweighted I'm pretty sure that's true, but for weighted it's different.
depends how hard of classes you take
Wait til you get to college. High School is nothing compared to college.
