+194 Even though people want to try to ignore the killer in the Aurora theater massacre and not let him get his 15 minutes of fame, with today's social media and vast connectivity this will be made virtually impossible, amirite?

On the other hand, some new thing will come along in about a day or two and people will forget all about him. That's just about how social media works.

Its sad how mainstream we all are, even though we hate to admit it. Its also sad how I can just say "Its sad..." & thats all there is to say about it. Because theres nothing that can be done

I don't understand why their trying to ignore it though. If he was Black or a Muslim there would be a great uproar about terrorism and violence and stuff, so I don't see why this is any different.

We shouldn't just ignore it, because it is a big deal. I think people are just scared to show how much 'attention' one person can get from committing heinous murders- because it shows other sick fuckers how they could get abhorrent recognition themselves.

That's what I thought when I saw his fucking sadistic smile on the newspaper.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

People are saying we should pay more attention to the victims rather than the killer.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

OMG shut up with that! OKAY obviously he would've been looked at as a terrorist or whatever blah blah blah...who tf cares though the fact is he was white...you think white people enjoy everyone saying they have a mental illness?

For a generation that strives to conform, theres the conflict of needing to be recognized & to be known for //something//. It turns into one big popularity contest. & Its absolutely fucking rediculous what he did- just to make himself be put out there, that committing suicide just wasn't enough.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Did he commit suicide?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

No. But full knowing he would recieve a death penalty or a lifetime sentence for this, why massacre innocents? To make a bigger scene. A grandiose farewell.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Well this post is ironic.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

how

by Anonymous 11 years ago

You're talking about giving the killer attention in a post which is giving him attention. I thought it was obvious..

by Anonymous 11 years ago

more hypocritical than ironic IMO. I don't see the irony.
