If you have a piano, I'm going to assume it's in your home and you have a guest over in which case I think it's fair for them to ask. If it's a portable keyboard I still think the only people who are going to ask are people you know, but if not, then rudeness is implied.
I play for my church choir and everytime im practicing, children find the need to do that and it throws me off. i move their hands and tell them to stop and they think its funny -_-
True, but it's equally annoying when someone insists on playing your piano without any invitation...
