Of course..?

Too many people I know claim to be in love but as soon as they're out of a relationship they're looking at dating someone else. They just need to realize if they are already interested in someone, obviously they weren't in love.

Wellll that's really sad. I think they just don't really know what 'being in love' //really// means

I just had a conversation about this with a person I know. He just broke up with his girlfriend (whom he told me he loved) about three days ago, and yesterday, he was professing his affection for yet another girl.

That's a good part of it, but I don't think that's everything.

I think you can be in love with multiple people. I don't recall humans being naturally monogamous. But just because someone may be polygamous doesn't exactly mean there's not going to be jealousy, or hatred, or disagreements...
I mean, if most people tried to fit into today's version of "love", they would fail pretty badly at it. Never look at another person? Never lie? Never think, not even for a second, of being with another person? Always thinking of the person you love? Hah, good luck.
But that's not to say I'm a polygamist. But that's also not to say that I don't believe I can love multiple people. I will say, however, that true love doesn't exist.

Well said.

Love, to me, is absolute loyalty and selflessness. It's natural to think about other people every now and again, but your love for your partner should be stronger than that.
