The movie has a scene in it where a bunch of thugs fire tommy guns into a crowded movie theater. That scene was in the commercial they played before the Dark Knight on the day after the shooting. I think it was a wise decision to delay it a little bit. It shows some respect for the victims.

If it's going to offend you, don't see it. Maybe a delay, fine, but there's no reason to censor it. Why if this movie was to become a classic? Can you imagine of the Hodfather had been censored to be sensitive to a shooting that happened 40 years ago, an no one ever got to see the original?
