+93 It was a bit ridiculous that people got in such a huff over James Bond drinking Heineken in the new movie. Elements of Bond have ALWAYS been changed. The list is endless --- his drinks, taste in women, cars, smoking, food. Even each actor brought a different element to the role. So why is the martini thing such a big deal - he didn't say shaken not stirred in Die Another Day either and drank mohito in cuba, but no one batted an eyelid. amirite?

I think it's because James Bond is thought of as a classy guy and beer isn't the classiest drink.
