+274 It was so much easier to plagerize when our parents were in school. They could copy something from a random book word for word. Their teachers couldn't google the phrase to check for plagiarism. If they wanted to check for plagiarism, it would take quite a while to look through all of the books, amirite?

They also had a lot less to plagerize from

But what they did have was very well-researched and thorough, not to mention checked over many times by a publisher. These days, when we steal stuff off of the internet, it's not fact-checked or grammar-checked or even well-written sometimes. Not to mention it's easily found out. So it was definitely easier back then. That's not to say we don't have books nowadays, but they're few and far between and sometimes outdated. And they could be in some plagiarizism database.

If you really wanted to plagerize you could find stuff that good or even better and if people back then wanted to plagerize they would to to read a full book to find what they want and they might not even have a book that has that topic in its book

Yeah, plus now schools have a website for parents to check their kid's grades 24/7. It's so hard to explain to my parents that the reason I have a zero on an assignment was because I wasn't at school that day or something; they automatically assume I'm being lazy and then ground me. If they check my grades the old fashioned way by contacting my teachers, I wouldn't be grounded all the time. Internet and education don't mix well sometimes.
