+258 There's a difference between equality and equal opportunity, amirite?

Could I get an example?

It's possible for men and women to have equal opportunity, but equality isn't possible because men and women are different.

Oh, okay, I see. I was thinking more of a comparison between one example of equal opportunity and one example of equality, but that works just as well. I was also thinking of the word 'equality' different than you were, but I get what you're saying now. YYA. y

Yeah, it just kind of irritates me when people are debating about human rights and don't understand the difference between the two. I feel that arguing for equality is arguing for communism and forcing people to be the same whereas equal opportunity gives people the chance to become successful according to their definition of success.

We have different definitions of what male/female equality is. Yours is a gender neutral world, my definition and what I feel true male female equality is, is when men and women can view each other as equal peers, not ascompetitors, or as an inferior race,

I'm not entirely sure if I agree with you, Caveman, after reading your second comment, but based on the word 'success' it's easy to have that cover a lot, so I guess I'll just be neutral.
