+227 It's not fair to scoff at someone for having a "charmed" life. We can't help where we were born, but we can choose how we respond to the world around us. Besides, doesn't everybody wish they were born and raised in a happy, wholesome environment? amirite?

I'm always very happy (and maybe just a little envious) for people born with a charmed life. I wish everyone lived that way.

As long as they realize not everyone had the same privileges they did. Not so much for the sake of being grateful for what they have, but so that they don't go around asking kids from struggling families why they don't just buy themselves a car or something. That can make some enemies.

I want something else, to get me through this Semi-charmed kinda life, baby, baby I want something else, I'm not listening when you say good-BYEEEEEEEEEEEE

I'm actually glad I didn't have a charmed life. I'm glad I got the chance to struggle and grow and not everything was handed to me. I'm glad I had to work to be where I am and I learned my values on my own rather than having them taught to me.

Yeah, there can be advantages to the school of hard knocks...but if you have bad role models, then it can be very hard to learn or emulate good values. I'm thankful for the positive role models I had, but try not to judge other people too harshly right away because I know that some people never learned how to love or what love is
