+44 It seems there's no point in staying in a relationship if you realize the other person can live happily without you, amirite?

If a person loses a person they love they will be able to find happiness again. They might occasionally miss the person, but it would not destroy them. I don't understand breaking up with a person over that.

If a person can't be independent and happy without relying on someone else, I don't want to be with them...can you imagine how clingy they'd be?

So... In order for a relationship to be worth it, the other person would have to not be able to live their own life without you? Relationships are not about being totally dependent on another person for the rest of your life. It is about finding happiness with another person that you love through mutual respect, honesty, and commitment. Could I live without my fiancee? Sure. Would I ever want to? No. Otherwise, I would not be marrying him.

Before you even find a relationship, you should be totally happy single, otherwise, you end up being that person that jumps from bad relationship to bad relationship, and is all heartbroken like once a month. NO ONE likes that person. That person is ANNOYING.
