People everyday donate their hair to others in need, I did. I'm glad this is drawing attention and raising awareness to this subject, but I don't think she deserves a medal or anything. It's hair. It's not the end of the world.

I also think it was very sweet of you to do so, huge respect! But I'm sure it would make an 8 year old cancer patient happier to know that her wig is made up of Miley Cyrus's hair, than if it was made up of some random person's hair.

I'm sure that if a little girl who was diagnosed with Cancer, went through Chemo and Radiation and lost all of her beautiful hair; came across a wig that would make her look/feel good about herself, she wouldn't give a rats ass about where the hair came from.

It takes around 6 peoples' hair to make one wig so I'm sure Miley's hair will just be shipped off to a company and mixed with other hair to make a wig and by the time that process is over nobody will even know who's hair is who's

Okay none of you probably know or have known a cancer patient so you have no clue how they'd feel, especially if they were still a kid. I don't like to talk about it, but yes I know someone who used to have cancer, and she is really close to me, and she was like 10 or 11 when she was diagnosed. I know that it made her happy when she met a celebrity, I know that it made her happy seeing everyone supporting her, I know that it made her happy when she saw me, I know that it made her happy when she would get a present or a donation, and I know that all this happiness couldn't erase the fact that she's sick and all her sadness, but it still made her feel better, even if temporary. So whether the whole wig was made up of Miley's hair or just a small part of it, I'm sure the 10 year old girl would be bragging about her hannah montana wig. This topic is really emotional to me; thank God, thank medicine, and thankfully, she is 15 now and all better living her life again like a regular person as if nothing happened.

I thought you had to have a certain amount (like 10 inches or so) to donate to Locks of Love. Is that not true? Because Miley's hair wasn't that long to begin with..

I've just come back from Google, where I learned that Miley never said she donated her hair. Some unknown fan started that rumor. Also, I'm pretty sure her hair was too short to be donated. It would have been sweet if she had, but no, she actually just wanted to mix things up.
