I personally think that for a pop singer in modern times, Taylor Swift is doing really well. Her songs are enjoyable, she doesn't use autotune, and at least love and break-ups actually MEAN something, unlike 'let's go out and party just because we can' which most pop singers are writing about these days.

Pop songs are usually catorgorized into either dance/clubbing songs or love/break-up songs. Taylor Swift is so popular that she can put out ANYTHING and people will listen to it, so why doesn't she branch out a little? Her style of music has changed a lot since when she first began, but the subject of her songs are still the same. She's at the point in her career where she can experiment and actually write songs about different subject matter, but she chooses not to and eventually everyone is going to get tired of her.

Oh my God, YES. I can't stand her music anymore. Back in her "Fearless" era, her songs were quite enjoyable and made me hope that this girl was going really far. But after listening to her new single, I was just like, "Are you serious?" The lyrics made me want to barf, and it's just a huge step back for her.

I really, REALLY, hate the fad to trash modern singers. They have more talent than all of you. No, I'm not saying that One Direction is better than the Beatles, but get over yourselfs, they aren't horrible. JUST STOP.
