"I'm sorry" is never the appropriate response when someone tells you where they live. Amirite?

I once had a friend who lived in the worst part of town and he knew it. Robberies, rape, a few homicides over the years, and a few other things. I told him I was sorry and he wasn't offended...

Arizona and California are in the West. Florida is the south, it was part of Dixie.

technically florida is in the south east. but what i'm saying in general is that for the most part when people make southern remarks, they're not thinking of florida

I agree with iamthewalrus. I live in Alabma, and no one here considers Florida the South. Florida isn't really full of rednecks. People there don't have a heavy accent. Florida does not fit the South's stereotype.

Arizona too. It's 109 degrees out right now at 11 in the morning. Sometimes it gets up to around 115 to 125.
