+190 Child voice actors in cartoons are really great because as the show progresses their voices get deeper, giving a deeper illusion of the cartoon character growing up, amirite?

except if they don't want said character to grow up. thats why a woman voices bart simpson, who has been 10 for like 20 years. If Bart was now 30, it would be a weird show. All it would be is Homer and Marge sitting on their asses, watching The Price is Right or whatever the fuck old people do. Sound interesting?

Well, that's the oldest cartoon ever. A woman voiced Jimmy Neutron and Timmy Turner since they thought the show would last a while. In Adventure Time, in the earlier episodes Finn has a way higher voice, same with Aang in ATLA.

when a TV show is first being casted they don't know how long it will air! When they casted a female for Bart, for all they knew, the show could have been cancelled after a couple seasons because its when the show was just born. Surprise! Even if you work in hollywood, you can't see the future.

Well I prefer kid voice actors since you can always hire a new one if they grow too old for the voice.

You make it sound like kids are phones.

Except for things like Phineas and Ferb. Vincent Martella is like 17 and as he grows up, he can't just stop doing the voice. His voice gets deeper and deeper...

Me and Vince have the same birthday, jsyk, but his voice hasn't changed much since he played Greg on Everybody Hates Chris.
