There should be a system similar to Netflix, only with ebooks instead of movies, amirite?

My public library lets you borrow ebooks for free, and it automatically gets removed from my kindle after the loan is over.

So basically an online library.

An online library that recommends books to you.

There's a site that kind of does that, but not very well. You enter a book you recently read, and it gives you a list of similar books. But as far as I can tell, you can't enter multiple books at a time, to really hone your results. www.whatshouldireadnext.com

I think there's another one, www.yournextread.com

I don't like Netflix soley for their frequent and annoying commercials and pop up ads.

Even better would be a book subscription service, kind of like Rhapsody for music. Pay $10 a month and download as many books as you want; when you stop paying the monthly fee you lose the books. Honestly I think this would be quite profitable for the publishing industry because, unlike movies or songs, most people will read <1 book per month.

I just hope this new system wouldn't do like Netflix and reserve the really good movies for DVD only.
