Wait, people got mad about One Direction going mainstream? I can honestly say they have the most stereotypically mainstream sound out of any band I can think of. :/

Yeah. The entire fandom that knew about them beforehand was in ruins. People were flipping a shit and saying things like, "All these new American fans are going to suck. You're only a true Directioner if you knew about them before WMYB! You're only a true Directioner if you know how many R's there are and who has four nipples and who has one kidney!"

Ugh, those kinds of people really annoy me - for any band. I mean, them saying that you're not a true fan if you ONLY know WMYB is fair enough, but if you discovered them through that song and then listened to all their other stuff, you should count just as much as someone who knew them before, in my opinion. ...And knowing about their nipples would just be creepy.

I can vouch for the not being a true fan if you only know WMYB because that pissed me off to be honest. But everything else is stupid. I couldn't stand it when the whole thing happened. And haha the nipple thing was a whole joke because Harry has two other birthmarks on his chest and they look like nipples.
