+105 It's really irritating when people don't seem to understand that being loud when people are still asleep in the morning is the exact same thing as being loud when people have gone to bed really early at night, amirite?

Is 9:30 really early in the morning? I'm just wondering cuz my brother sleeps in the living room and throws a hissy fit when I make a bowl of cereal in the morning before school.

Well I don't think it really matters if it's early, early is subjective anyway. It's more like, "if people are asleep." And I mean making a bowl of cereal shouldn't wake people up anyway, unless you molest the wax paper bag the cereal is in or something. Out of curiosity, why does he sleep in the living room? He's kind of bringing it on himself if he has other options.

I see... Well he's definitely being unreasonable unless your ability to be extremely loud eating cereal is ridiculously high.

That //is// kind of amusing. You're totally in the right, of course. If he's living in the same house as you one can assume anything he buys and puts in the fridge is, unless otherwise specified, available to everyone.

My ex-roommate used to go to bed at 8 pm on Friday and Saturday nights...she would just shut the lights off on me and my other roommate. And we're in college so the weekends are primetime for hanging out with people or watching movies. So we rebelled against her because she acted like she was in charge. And we even got up before her in the morning. We had to have a meeting with our housefellow and eventually she moved out...
