+144 Some names are good for children/babies, but people need to realize that those children/babies grow up, and you get adults named Frankie or Carter, amirite?

Carter sounds like an old man's name. When I hear the name Carter I immediately think of Family Guy.

I see what you mean, but Carter was the main character's boss in Halo Reach and Frankie sounds badass after realising that almost every mafia has a guy named Frankie.

Cody and Cory always come to mind

There are also some names that would be weird on a baby and an old person, but not a teenager. Like Chad.

People named Frankie would probably just go by Frank. And I actually think Carter is a really nice name, like it would sound good on a little kid or an 80 year old man.

A lot of older parents I know give their kids names like Millie, which is really cute on a young child but doesn't work once they get any older than maybe 10 - do they not see that their kid will one day be a teenager and //maybe even// an adult?

hayden, cayden, jayden

In 50 years, when people with those names are grandparents, I'm sure that nobody will consider them childish names.

What I came here to say. Like Petunia or Wilfred, they were kid names when they were kids now there old people names.

I like the name Frankie, and Carter reminds me of the old archeologist from harvest moon. I think its worse when someone has a name like Lulu or Taylie in adulthood.

Alot of names can change depending on your age, like Vincent. Maybe when you're a kid you'll go by Vinny or Vince and when you get older you'll just go by Vincent. Frankie is one of those names like Johnny; it's usually a nickname for Frank just like Johnny is a nickname for John.
