Wars are just really expensive and elaborate gang fights, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
... Between overly religious leaders and the fools they convince to fight for them.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Because religion is the only cause of war.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's not. But it forms the majority.
by Anonymous12 years ago
No it doesn't lol.

What did the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, World War I, World War II, The Korean War, The Vietnam War, and the Cold War all have in common?
They were started by overly religious leaders who convinced fools to fight for them
by Anonymous12 years ago
Honest question(because i actually dont know: Maybe so, but were they fighting for/ or because of religion?
by Anonymous12 years ago
@dannydunnaway Revolutionary war: for independence Civil War: slavery/states rights Korean War: Invasion Vietnam War: stopping the spread of communism Cold war: tension between two opposing forms of government; where does religion play a (major) role in causing these wars?
by Anonymous12 years ago
per I agree it is just a bible thumper trying to turn every conversation into a sermon. They never learn, if we want religion we go to a church or religious facility of our own choice
by Anonymous6 years ago
That was definitely sarcasm, guys. Obviously none of those wars have the most remote link to religion (maybe WWII, it's arguable) as a major cause
by Anonymous12 years ago
I stand by what I said. The history of man (and war) goes back a lot further than the revolutionary and world wars.
by Anonymous12 years ago
And those weren't all religious wars either so...
by Anonymous12 years ago
You suck at sarcasm. I sincerely hope you were just using sarcasm as an excuse.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I think the Internet sucks more than I do...and I suppose I thought the comment was so blatantly untrue that nobody with half a mind would think I was serious. I guess I was wrong. Sorry guys

Religion divides us, wars are caused by one group wanting power and control over land and people.
by Anonymous12 years ago
@hpistheshit No, nature divides us (bodies of water, mountains, valleys, etc) and eventually the people change on their own, regardless of religion.

@Pergenstein explain muslims and jews.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I feel like all fighting is fighting. No need to differentiate...but I also feel like there are things worth fighting for, you just need to figure out what. For me, family, freedom, and safety are the biguns. For Kim Jong Un, they might get a little more petty
