Strange. A lot of people in my family, including myself, are on welfare and they either don't have phones or have shitty phones from walmart. I don't think you know very many people on welfare. And a few occurrences do not make a trend.

Many people on welfare tend to take advantage of it and waste it. Your family is probably an exception, which is good.

Of course many do, there's a lot of people on welfare so the number of people who take advantage is going to be large too. But by no means is it everyone or even close to being the majority.
