Nemo means "no one" in Latin, so basically 'Finding Nemo' is really 'Finding No One', a tale that Marlin made up to cope with the death of his wife and all his children. amirite?

That's deep. Like the ocean.

This just makes me so sad...

Honestly saying I didn't know this was already known. I went to Rome recently and was learning a bit of latin (I wanted to read all the old ancient stuff bla bla) and though I was some genius.

Apologies for the repost

WHY MUST YOU HURT ME IN THIS WAY?

I saw that on Tumblr, too.

I'm sure OP knows this, but Nemo was also the name of the submarine captain in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Maybe that whole story was about "no one" as well and it was just a huge acid trip.
