Girls: when you're straightening your hair, you burn yourself on your actual hair more often than on the scalding plates of metal in you're holding, amirite?
I once almost dropped my straightener. I didn't want it to break, so I reached out to catch it. It was as the 350 degree metal touched my hand that I realized it was plastic, not ceramic, and falling a foot onto the counter wouldn't have hurt it in the least.
yea except for the one time i accidentally clamped the straightener on my hand instead of my hair. OOPSIES

Well the plates were metal, but they wouldn't break either.
I broke my ceramic straightener like that..
But wouldn't plastic at that temperature melt? I would imagine that it would at least have to be metal.
I straighten my hair pretty much everyday so you'd think I would learn.
YOURE A GIRL!?!
Shhh, don't tell anyone.
