+172 Girls: You want to be a mother one day, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Undecided. I think I would make a good mother, but I don't want a domestic lifestyle

by Anonymous 11 years ago

i am since i was 18

by Anonymous 11 years ago

As a seventeen-year-old, I think it's safe today that I don't even have to know something like that right now, and I can just be completely neutral towards the subject.

This post needs a brother post so guys can vote.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yes but I think I'd rather adopt a child than have one of my own.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Why wouldn't anyone want any kids? Kids are beautiful! Anyone who doesn't want kids is just being selfish. I hope you realize that if everyone had the same mindset as you, then humanity would quickly go extinct.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'm looking for intelligent discussions, so please refrain from using childish emoticons such as lolwut unless you are going to take this debate seriously.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

The world being overpopulated is bull. Did you know that everyone in the world could live comfortably in the state of Texas? The selfish reasons far outweigh the selfless reasons.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Humanity is nowhere near going extinct.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

@Hectic_glow Your just using retarded comments because you have no arguing skills whatsoever.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

@littlered It will if we stop having babies. Fact

by Anonymous 11 years ago

We're not all going to randomly decide to stop having babies. Even if we did, people accidentally make babies every day.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'm willing to bet anon isn't from Texas.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

@LittleRed Our natural instinct is to reproduce, and soon everyone is going to think it's cool not to have babies and go against their instinct. You can't possibly think that is a good thing. @PocketPie I don't remember the source, but I wouldn't make up statistics. I put in extensive research into my debates, so I don't make things up. @Hectic Glow 7 billion isn't that much, and if it does start to get overpopulated, then people will just die off. Besides, we'll most likely colonize beyond our galaxy so overpopulation won't be a big deal. I made a typo. Get over it.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

@Run the Pacific I'm from Oklahoma. Why would my location matter in this debate?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

T'was a joke since you seemed to speak so certainly about the size of the state. But, jumping right into this little argument: No, the whole population of the earth could //not// live in Texas. We're barely fitting on the space we have.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

@pocketpie You don't seem to know how trends work, do you? It all starts with a few rebellious people, so I wouldn't be surprised if it became a trend to not have children. You also don't seem to realize how huge texas is. Then people will die off if there aren't enough resources until there is a manageable amount of people on Earth. Diseases aren't that big of a problem with modern medical advancements.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

That's not going to happen though. I want kids, and I'm not going to change that because I think it's "uncool." I'm willing to bet a lot of other people feel the same way.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

@Hectic_glow idk, but twenty years ago people would have thought you were crazy if you suggested that we would one day step foot on the moon, and now we even send people to mars. Science advances at an incredible rate, so it is possible that we'll colonize beyond our solar system and galaxy.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

trolololololol

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Okay, now I //know// you're a troll.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

@little red but if everyone else does, then we are in trouble. Are you seriously suggesting that the human race could survive if everyone stop reproducing?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

@PocketPie Here's an article that talks about it. Obviously, there are major problems with having the entire population of the world in one city. But taking only the number of people into account, 7 billion people would supposedly fit in an area the size of Texas and the population density will be equivalent to that of New York City. http://www.smartplanet.com/blog/cities/could-7-billion-people-live-in-a-texas-sized-city/1124

by Anonymous 11 years ago

@spareseconds Why do you assume that I'm a troll? @little red read above @pocketpie Sorry, that was my mistake.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

@Hectic glow They did put a man on mars. look up Rover Spirit. He's the first guy to step foot on Mars

by Anonymous 11 years ago

@Hectic Glow I could have sworn that he was a human. You mean they created a human robot that can successfully function as a human being?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Because if you believe humans are going to give up the almighty orgasm for social norms, you're very very very mistaken. Our main purpose is to reproduce. If we die out because we think babies are uncool, then we became pretty damn stupid and would've died out soon enough anyway.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

@PocketPie yeah sorry. I hadn't refreshed my page in awhile. The last comment I saw before I posted was your "Where do you get this shit?" comment, so I didn't see your clarification.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Motherfucker. You are stupid. First, you cannot comfortably fit everyone in Texas. It's big, but not THAT big. The second thing is, even if people did comfortably fit in Texas, there's simply not enough money for them. The rich keep their money. It could go around evenly, but people save their money for themselves. Theres not enough food, clothes, beds, etc. for everyone. That's part of the population crisis

by Anonymous 11 years ago

If you're not a troll, then don't post anonymously

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'm pretty sure not having children isn't just some new 2012 thing. If it was then I'm sure the world's population would be much higher.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'm not good with kids nor do I take much liking to them. I do want to get married though (not anytime soon). I think marriage changes a lot, so maybe then I might want kids. As of now, I can't imagine myself being a mother.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I really adore children, and as much as I want to be a mum someday, I don't want to pass on high cholesterol, Alzheimer's, and depression.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I would want to experience everything I can, that doesn't go against my morals, before I die.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I want to eventually, but definitely not for a long time

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I really don't know if I'll have kids when I'm older. But I think if I did, I'd prefer to adopt a child when I thought the time was right. Anyway, on Sims 3 looking after a baby is such a bitch so I'm guessing real-life-baby-looking-after-ing is like 100004746382 times harder

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Girks: you wonder what kids are.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I will be a mother come April 1st 2013! :)
