I don't think you understand things

what don't we understand?

Do they really show American Election crap on tv up in Canada? I have a hard time seeing the logic in that.

We hear about 3x more about the American elections than we do about our OWN elections. (Up here, people campaign one month before elections, not four or six or twelve or whatever the heck it is in the US.)

That must be annoying. I know I hate it when I have to see Sonic Burger commercials even though I live in New England and there's practically no Sonic Burgers up here. I'm guessing election stuff must be a lot worse.

We get a lot more American channels than Canadian ones becuuse there are more of them. If you have a nice cable package, the American news channels outnumber the Canadian ones. Thus, we usually end up watching the American news channels and thus watching a lot of American news, elections crap included. (when i say election crap, i am not complaining about it since it is an active choice that we make. i am simply explainig how we end up watching so much of it. i am calling is crap because most of it is useless.)

I hadn't thought of that, I guess it makes sense then.

it is constant and continual. it causes us grief and boredom and some amusement from the drivel spewed forth from the GOP

It's not our country, we don't get a say in it. If you don't like hearing about American elections then turn off the tv, get off the Internet and do something else.

"keep Mitt Romney and his ignorant views away from our country." If he ruined Canada I'd give up on the world. Canada is my only bastion of hope left.

Hey, Scandinavian countries are pretty good too!

I am very interested in this American election and I am learning a lot, but I in no way think I should be able to vote (if I was 18) for America. It seems like one step towards America and Canada becoming one country which I really don't want. It seems weird that I know a lot more about American politics than I do Canadian, but I do know who I will vote for when the times come.

The UK should too, seeing as the UK is basically America's bitch where politics is involved.
