You're not old enough to vote, amirite?
People seriously answer this.
Yeah You Are, but even if I was, I'd vote for Obama
I'm not old enough to vote, and even if I was, it would be hard because I'm Canadian :P
But seriously, Canadians (well at least my friends) hate republicans for how they take away rights, even if they get jobs done.
What rights do republicans take away?
Article 16
(1) Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution. (2) Marriage shall be entered into only with the free and full consent of the intending spouses. (3) The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State.
Just because republicans have different views on issues it doesn't mean they're "taking away rights." And that's such a blanket term. Not all republicans feel the same way about that stuff.
I agree with you on contraceptives. I just think a lot of republicans look at it from a moral standpoint. You could say the same thing about democrats, that they take away rights. Look at Mayor Bloomberg. I know he's listed as a republican, or whatever he is now, independent. But he was originally a democrat. He proposed the soda ban. I think that's taking away rights just as much.
Maybe you're right. I just wrote a paper on that so it's fresh in my mind. My original point was that not all republicans are heartless and against women.
Banning birth control is wrong, but not only because it's morally unjust. The problem is that in the US, it's illegal to make laws based on religious beliefs. This is not a Christian country, so Christianity should not dictate our legal policy.
I agree with you. I don't think birth control should be banned. I just think it's not a right to be able to afford it. But why did you condense it to just Christianity? As if just Christianity is against birth control.
I wouldn't know for sure but I'd guess that most religions are against them, considering religion is based strictly on morals. Morally, I think abortion is wrong. But from a political standpoint, it'd be difficult if abortion was illegal. Anyway.
Because not all Christians are Catholic
I'm missing the legal age limit by like, two months.
If I could vote then
no.
absolutely no.
A significant portion of the amirite community is either
not american or (b) underage
I'm underage, a liberal, and canadian, so no.
A: I'm not old enough
B: I'm very liberal.. So no
I'll be voting for Obama this election.
turning 18 right after the election.. but if i could vote then yes
If I could, I would.
Would never ever vote for Romney. I am not old enough, but very liberal. I would definitely vote for Obama.
if i was old enough i will pick obama
Oh heck no, I like my presidents to have at least a few brain cells.
What the fuck? This site has downvote fairies? What's wrong with someone having a political view? What's wrong with someone not being old enough to vote? Don't downvote them for it.
They asked if we were voting for Romney and if we were not, an appropriate response would be no way.
I'm talking about the comments.
this is a hard desion for every body
