Pretty well all girls in the UK are offered self defence instruction at school, & the vast majority take up the offer. It is vital that girls are taught how to fight off a man in a dire situation, and we find these courses very enjoyable & empowering. Many go on to learn boxing, judo, karate, Krav maga etc., & in fact there are no sports nowadays where only boys take part.
