+161 Books with a few important, interesting and story-enhancing details are good, but it's downright annoying when books use too much detail. It's like, 'Harry, who had an undescended third testicle, was 11.' Amirite?

Usually I agree, but I've read books that were full of superfluous details, but used such great imagery that I didn't mind.

I can like it if it's poetic in a way, but most of the time it just distracts from the story.
