They're probably trying to 'keep awareness' rather than 'raise awareness'. If they stop, it will probably end up as an out of sight, out of mind thing. They should tone it down a bit and divert their time to more directly helpful things.

What I can't stand are the Facebook campaigns which are basically a huge inside joke for the people doing them. No one else associates them with breast cancer, it's just so girls can laugh at the reactions they get and pretend to be doing it for a good cause.

Eh... I'm not convinced. We just need to pink up more things. Like chocolate. Lots of people eat chocolate. Pink it up! Also, there should be a facebook campaign where everyone changes their profile picture to a blank pink square. Fuck it, that's not enough. I'm calling NASA. The only way to win this war is to pinkify THE SUN!
