+189 If you insist on committing suicide, don't do it in such gruesome or horrific way so that whoever finds you is horrified or has to clean up the mess you've made. Do it with pills or something. Something that kills you quietly and peacefully. Sure you're killing yourself, but you don't have to be a dick about it. Amirite?

It's not easy to kill yourself peacefully or cleanly. The only way I can think of is via suffocation. Pills are harder than you would think to kill yourself with. That will most likely just wind you up in the hospital covered in vomit. You actually need to do some serious research or have prior pharmacological knowledge in order to effectively kill yourself with pills.

A. It takes more than four seconds for a pill to make its way to the stomach. It takes more than four seconds for a pill to dissolve. It takes more than for seconds for the body to absorb it. It takes more than four seconds for the chemical to do its thing. I would know, I've taken gel-caps of DXM recreationally before, and it took an extra hour and a half or so to set in versus just drinking it. B. I don't think the average person has access to cyanide pills so easily.

Crunch down and absorb it through diffusion in the mouth. No one said you NEED to do the things you listed. And cyanide is absorbed really fast because of a concentration gradient of infinity and the tiny size of the ions. If you wanted to kill your self considerately, you could get one on the black market.

My grandmother's brother shot himself. His children didn't want to see him, his wife told him he was just in the way and he was wheelchair-bound. He put on his little gentleman hat because he didn't want it to mess too much and apologized for the mess in his suicide note.

Certain people commit suicide for certain reasons (IMO): One person may have been deprived of attention, wanted to be noticed, so they'd create a mess or w/e and leave this world, noticed, and grieved for. Another person may have had their lives ruined or worsened by certain individuals, and would want to scrawl messages on their suicide notes to make the certain individuals guilty, and to attempt to hurt them as much as they can, returning the favor (emotional pain) They'd probably also use a dramatic approach as to have others feel even more shock, giving it a powerful effect. It's how the mind works. Now, this may seem too logically thought out for someone in depression, but the thing is: 1: They might think these thoughts subconsciously (Like I said, human mind, that's how it works.) 2: It's highly probable they were intending to do as I'd listed, as I myself, wanted to commit suicide at one point, because my father was abusive, he didn't hit often, but it was harsh. That wasn't the main reason though, he also hurt me emotionally, by using words that actually scarred, not exactly thoughtful with his words. I'll be honest when I thought to suicide, I wanted him to feel guilty.
