+81 In Book of Genesis, God wasn't angry at Adam and Eve for eating the forbidden fruit, he was angry that they didn't own up to it. He didn't banish them for disobeying him, he banished them not taking responsibility or ownership of their actions, amirite?

God doesn't exist.

Controversial!

In your opinion, he doesn't. In my opinion, he does. :)

Irrelevant to the discussion. If you don't believe in God or this specific story, it's about //why// the character named God punished Adam and Eve, not //does he exist//?

This was a quiz question in my western civilization class. The question was what was original sin (according to Genesis) and the correct answer was disobedience.
