My math teacher said that he once watched The Big Bang Theory without the laugh track and afterwards he never watched it again, because the things that Sheldon said that he previously found funny now just seemed sad and serious to him, like Sheldon had Aspergers or some other form of autism.

As people have said, it's live. However, I have gotten so used to laugh tracks that it doesn't bother me. I wonder though, if it would affect the show if they didnt have the laughing.

I saw a video where the laugh track had been removed and it was so painfully awkward.
