Copying someone's homework is cheating, and should be treated as such by teachers and professors, amirite?

Isn't it?

This isn't much of an opinion...I mean...it's common sense and fact surely? According to any rule book. I can't believe even a single person would disagree with this...

It's all about the reasoning behind it. If someone didn't know it was for marks, or if it wasn't for marks and couldn't do it, it shouldn't be considered cheating as long as there was the intent to learn how to get the answers.

It's still cheating even if it isn't for marks.

That doesn't mean it should be treated the same way by professors.

It's still cheating, and it should be treated as cheating. You are not doing the work yourself.

I don't think it's that big of a deal though.

Once you need to copy someone's homework, your opinions may change

I'm a senior in college and I have NEVER copied someone's homework (or let someone copy mine). If I didn't do my homework, then I took the 0.
