that can depend if the sample can accurately represent the entire population it is impossible or near impossible to do so random sampling is not truly random (at least almost always) and some pollings, like where people call in, is not accurate because the sample may not have a lot of variance I was mostly talking about stereotypes like assuming that individuals in a racial group all act the same way
