+64 Pain is usually better dealt with head on then to just ignore it, like with a stomachache. If you try to ignore it, the more the stomach yells "NOTICE ME," probably because the body wants you to know that something is wrong. When you deal with it head on, the more manageable it becomes, amirite?

I agree in the sense that you put it- that there's something wrong and it needs to be addressed. But I also think pain should be dealt with head on in general, at least for me. When I let myself completely feel the pain and give myself over to it instead of trying to ignore it, it doesn't bother me as much. I noticed this when I got into piercing and burning myself, so this is probably just me. But I don't know, because with pains that are unpleasant for me like stubbing my toe I find embracing the pain still helps me.

I think this can be applied to pain that is mental, emotional, etc. like you said: pain in general

I agree. Sobbing your eyes out in the shower helps the pain go away more than pretending it doesn't exist.
