+40 You would rather become extremely good-looking than get a 30-point IQ boost, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Besides, IQ is completely subjective, and doesn't necessarily measure common sense in a lot of cases.

Indeed. Next to that, I already have an IQ quite above average, but looks quite above average aswell. If I manage to become EXTREMELY good-looking, I'll be able to figure out a way to make much more money with that than with the IQ-boost that would most likely not just make my IQ higher but will also change my social skills... which I would rather not lose.

You could say the same thing about being good-looking...

So is attractiveness. If I had to take a shot in the dark, I'd have to guess IQ is less subjective than beauty.

False. I would rather become even more intelligent, fly through college and get an awesome degree, and proceed to land a high paying job. After that, I could easily afford any plastic surgery I found necessary and buy overpriced makeup and clothes.

I like the way I look already. I'm pretty smart, too. I'd take the 30 point IQ raise because I already get enough people who don't take me seriously and strange men hitting on me.

Only if it's more of a customisation thing. I'm perfectly fine with my IQ (I've gotten scores as high as 150 and as low as 73, but I function normally, so yeah...) I really only want to straighten my teeth, lose weight, and get rid of some zits (I'm 16). Also, it has to edit my genetic code as well so I pass it on to my descendants and I'm 'supposed' to look like that, not like I had surgery.... I'm probably over thinking this...

I would take the the IQ boost after I confirm that it would actually boost my intellectual abilities. The reason is very simple. It would mean that I can continue being my lazy self and still not fail out of med school. If that works out, I would be a doctor and have enough money to make whatever cosmetic changes I feel like making later on.

I'd give up 30 IQ points to become extremely good looking.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

If I became any more good looking it would just be ridiculous, but I could probably do with some extra intelligence.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

But if you're already attractive, it's a win-win cool

30 IQ points would help me much more, and I definitely value intelligence more. Besides, I am quite satisfied with my appearance for the most part. Being smarter would make college a lot easier and would probably help me in the long run, since I want to be a surgeon.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I do very well in school and am one of the top 15 students in my class. The IQ boost would help me sooo much because even though I do well, I feel as if I'm struggling. I am very satisfied with how I look; I just would love to remove unwanted body hair. Oh well, I'll take the IQ boost, get a high paying job, and get laser hair removal.

I'd use the IQ boost and use that to feel beautiful hehe WIN WIN
