That's why I want to become a surgeon. I am willing to "desensitize" myself in order to be apathetic in life-threatening situations. I want to be able to control my apathy so that I can remain calm and perform surgeries in order to improve the lives of others. At the end of a life-saving operation, I will be able to release my emotions by sharing my happiness and relief with the family of the patient.
