It used to be witty jokes and funny observations with a few of those posts mixed in and it was fine in moderation, but now its the exact opposite with 3 people posting 16 of them a day. I come here because im bored, not to reevaluate myself as a person. Its not fun anymore.

That has not been my experience. When I joined this site (four months ago), there were quite a few philosophical/political posts that give you something to think about, and now there are many people who just post memes and jokes that have been posted in 50 other places already.

What's wrong with deep thoughts? If Amirite became a site about jokes and puns, I'd delete my account. There's plenty of that on other websites and this one is one of the very few that allow people to express their opinions and thoughts, however serious and deep they may be.
