If you throw a plate on the ground and then apologize to it, it's still broken. The same can apply to feelings, amirite?

Some feelings never completely heal though. You can pick up the plate and glue it back together but that doesn't excuse the fact that you broke it in the first place.

true
we can apologize to the plate and take actions to mend it

then, we can hope that the plate acknowledges that we make terrible mistakes but will go to great lengths to help
after all, plate isn't perfect either

the damage is done but can make it stronger

what I was trying to say is that a sincere apology does make a difference
and I feel like the post is undermining that idea

apologizing serves a very significant purpose
