+100 We could learn a lot from a reformed ex-convict. It's too bad that sometimes, society will be blinded by the past, amirite?

Former criminals have more to do with the criminal justice system than most people would imagine.

"Convict Conditioning" by ex-convict Paul Wade shows a very simple way to get in shape with basically no equipment

Is it just me or was this post inspired by Les Miserables?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

it was inspired by someone's bio

Oh, well maybe the fact that I've been slightly obsessed with Les Mis lately has something to do with the fact that I was reminded of it by this post. Guess it was just me :P (It's cool that it was inspired by a bio though!)

I don't know much about Les Mis but I hear the title a lot could you tell me why this reminds you of it?

One of the main characters is a reformed ex-convict. For the majority of the book/play/movie he is portrayed as a hero, but he constantly has to stay in hiding because of his past.

In Reader's Digest once, and ex-burglar wrote a thing on ways to keep your house safe from thieves.

Personally, I would rather be blinded by the past than blind to the future

by Anonymous 11 years ago

true but this isn't every ex-convict this one is reformed

by Anonymous 11 years ago

The question becomes whether or not he is truly reformed. I know it happens frequently but I still have reservations about taking a ex-com's word for it
