+152 A lot of times in a relationship, the people go into it liking each other but are blind to the other's flaws. Then once they are together for a while, they begin to notice flaws and it is made obvious their partner isn't perfect like they once thought- this leaves them in a frazzled state and often times they break up. Maybe that's the reason friendships that turn into relationships tend to work out so well- they've already seen each other's flaws and know how to deal with them, amirite?

This should say "maybe that's the reason"

Often times it's the people becoming less shy and able to fully be themselves that leads to the break-up. It's why I believe marriages fail a lot more nowadays. In the early stages we do nothing but try to impress. Once you're married, you have them, they aint going anywhere(yet). So they stop trying
