+58 When characters in a show or movie are scripted to "act" within the act, their portrayal of a non-actor is over exaggerated. They talk extra loud and over stress, when in reality, us non-actors really aren't //that// that bad at acting in general, amirite?

What I mean is when an actor plays a character that is not an actor, the character is portrayed to have extra poor acting skills that can be said for the other characters too

I think that the character being a bad actor distinguishes the actual actor from the character. If the character was a good actor than it would be like the actor is just playing another role instead of the character playing the role of another character. (if that made any sense at all)
