You didn't get your license the day you turned 16, amirite?

I'm six months away from 20, and I haven't even taken my permit test. But I don't really need to drive right now. It's more cost efficient for me to just take the bus or walk.

where i live you gotta be 18..but anw i went n didnt get it...so i decided that i got rippped off with 250 eu and additional for lessons so i didnt go again..end up driving 3 n a half years without license xD

I waited about 4 months after I turned 15 before I took the permit test, so yeah technically I didn't, but I still got it pretty quickly because my parents wanted me to learn how to drive.

it was a public holiday on my birthday so I got mine the day after.

Where I live you get your license at 17, and your permit at 16. I didn't get my permit until about 6 months after my 16th birthday and I got my license the day after my 17th because the DMV was closed on my actual birthday.

I didn't get mine until I was 18, and even after that I waited a few months. This is mostly due to the fact that I was terrified of driving, or more like other drivers. Yup, those don't text/drink and drive ads were just a little too effective on me.

Amen to that. I'm 18 and my permit has expired twice already. :/ I'm also terrified of driving, so all those videos don't do anything for me except make me even MORE adamant about refusing to get behind a wheel. :P But I know I have to get over it eventually. By the way, in my state you can get your permit at 15 and a half, and your license the day you turn 16. One of my friends got it right on his sixteenth birthday even though it was weekday, but I think another friend waited until the weekend, but yeah.

I want to hear from someone who disagreed. "I was really short when I was sixteen, so cops kept pulling me over because they thought I was underage. To fix that, I wore sunglasses and a fake moustache, but the other drivers found it hilarious that a girl could have facial hair, so they laughed uncontrolably and hit lamp posts. Now it's really dark in my city."

I never even took the permit test, and at this rate, I'll probably get my license at 20 the earliest. Driving isn't even necessary where I'm from, and I dont care to drive, but i feel it might cone in handy somewhere down the line...

I didn't get my permit until a month before I turned 16. I had to get approval from a bunch of doctors before getting my license.

I wouldn't want to do the test for my licence on my actual birthday incase I failed, it would ruin my day!

I'm getting my graduated license on my 17th birthday and then I get my actual license on my 18th birthday. I have my permit now.
