You're confusing "essentially the same concept" with "intertwined" or possibly "co-dependent".

They're not the same at all. Living is to exhibit traits of being alive. Dying is to exhibit traits that are trending towards death. A teenager is not "dying" just because they're aging. In order to be dying, their organs must be in decline and in most cases, they're not. If anything, they're probably getting healthier and stronger.
