I'm a fan of the Deadliest Catch tv show and follow a few of the captains on twitter. One of them posted that they can't go out and start a new season because they don't have permission from the federal government because it's shutdown. If the government isn't there for them, why should they wait? They're tax payers too. They're paying taxes to an entity that won't let them fish without permission? It doesn't make sense.

Our government is inflicting as much pain on WE THE PEOPLE as they possibly can - that is why I attack and insult them as much as possible. We pay the bills and it is OUR money that funds the whole operation. And yet, we have less and less of a voice or representation by them. The biggest insult to date was the refusal to pay the death benefits to the families of recent fallen soldiers. THAT was full proof of how far and how bad it really is.
