+21 Antipciating a grueling task tends to be more miserable than actually doing the task. Amirite?

I always procrastinate when plumbing needs to be done. I'm not confident enough and it's a pain right in the butt. Still, it's not as bad as sitting around worrying about it.

Yes, I think that is often true. Even when the task is as grueling as anticipated, it generally feels pretty damn good to get it over with, as opposed to dreading it. Not always, but often.

I sometimes time myself when doing something I've put off... Once I put off sewing a button on for 6 months and it only took 3 minutes to accomplish.

Today, I had to take the trash out Took like 2 seconds Not bad at all But I thought about it for 30 minutes beforehand I don't usually procrastinate so I'm fine and peaceful

In many instances, yes. "Could have been done by now..." is a statement I make to my kid quite often.
